The MG B roadster has often been touted as the quintessential British sports car, with the GT being the later hardtop version and arguably the more desirable. Famous Italian design firm Pininfarina was tasked with the design of the greenhouse of the coupe and it has landed among lists of the best cars outside Ferrari they have ever designed.
This example was originally bought by W.A Kaufman, British Consul in Barbados and was returned to England after U.S road regulations made it unregisterable due to low bumpers. It was sold in 1978 to an Australian who had it shipped home after touring Europe. It has extensive history from every owner including the original sales receipt, logbooks, and import manifests as well as extensive service and workshops receipts, books, manuals and other MG Club related paraphernalia.
This well loved 1.8L MGB GT has travelled only an indicated 60,697 miles since new, with extensive history and receipts, it retains two keys and various door and glovebox keys, and has current NSW registration until 13/02/2026.
Features of this classic Grand Tourer include 15" Minilite style alloy wheels, window tinting, set of four original chrome wire wheels and tyres, protective chrome headlight grilles, MG Club badging, 4 speed manual transmission with electric overdrive, books, workshop manuals, tools, spare tyre and MG Club paraphernalia.
