The Ford GT40 is a high-performance endurance racing car commissioned by the Ford Motor Company. It grew out of the "Ford GT" project, an effort to compete in European long-distance sports car races against Ferrari, who had won the prestigious 24 hours of Le Mans race from 1960 to 1965. Ford Succeeded winning the 1966 to 1969 races.
This Ford GT40 Replica was completed in March 2012 and was registered with full ADR compliance (in Victoria). The vehicle also has a full engineers report from 2015. This GT40 Replica Features a Ford 5.0L engine from a XR8 Tickford Falcon converted to a Holley 4BB Carby and is backed by a Porsche 930 4 speed manual gearbox. Other features include a full custom exhaust, DBR rear suspension, vented disc brakes all round, air conditioning, heating and much more.
This is a turn Key sports car and would suit a collector or even someone looking for a weekend cruiser that stands out. The Vehicle is Engineered and has been registered in Victoria however we recommend that you check with your states registration and engineering requirements.
