The
Holden FC is a car that will always be a memorable part of
Australian Motoring History, holding its place as a popular family sedan with its beautiful styling. 191,724 FC's would be produced between May 1958 & January 1960 due to their
incredible popularity prior to being replaced by the FB. Tidy and well preserved examples are getting
harder and harder to find and this presents as a great opportunity.
This particular
1981 FC Special Sedan presents well
for its age and is presented in very original condition with period style modifications. The car has been in Canberra most of its life and is finished in a very desirable India Ivory and Red two tone paint with Riff Red and Black interior. The FC is fitted with a 202ci with twin Strombergs with a 3-on the tree manual gearbox. The car is fitted with a LJ Torana diff, HR front disc brakes and widened Torana chromies (7" front and 8" rear). This example runs drives and stops and all the floors have been replaced. The subframe presents well with some rust bubbles showing along the bottom of the doors on the passanger side and the bottom of the A-pillars.
The vehicle would be perfect for a weekend tinker and drive and is bound to be seriously enjoyed.
