Incredibly rare Mazda E-Series truck, with less than 7 ever believed to have come to Australia.

Mazda entered the truck market in Australia in the mid 1960’s with the E2500 diesel and E2000 petrol trucks. Very small numbers of these trucks were sold, and it wasn't until the release of the next generation the E2500 and E2000 which were released in 1972 that any notable numbers of Mazda trucks were sold.

This example has been sitting in Canberra for sometime with a collection of rare Mazda's. The truck starts, runs and drives and overall appears quite solid and complete. The 2-litre petrol engine is backed by a 4-speed column shift manual. The truck has some surface rust but appears free of any major rust and the timber bed for the tray is worn. The vendor states that only 7 of these trucks made it to Australian shores, and there is little to no images or information about these rare trucks online. This makes for a unique opportunity to secure a very rare classic Mazda that can be driven as is or undergo a very simple restoration.
