The Holden Monaro is a car that will always be a part of Australian Motor History. With hues from the American Muscle cars of the same generation, the Monaro was a proper muscle car that Australia could call their own. Unveiled on 26 July 1970, the HG Monaro was the last of the original coupé design concept.This particular 1970 GTS Monaro has undergone sympathetic restoration only where required, keeping to as much originality where possible. The car is a factory 253ci V8 GTS coupe with the original matching numbers engine still in the car. The original 3 speed transmission is also included with the sale however the transmission has been replaced with another 3 speed automatic and an aftermarket B&m shifter has also been installed. The vehicle stands out in its metallic Aqua and black leather interior and a photo has been provided of the car dating back to 1987 prior to its restoration in its original colour of Burnished Bronze Metallic and bone interior. The vehicle also comes with the original sales receipt and owners manual. The original radio facia has been retained however it has been retrofitted with a FM/AM Radio and an aftermarket heater has been added for driver comfort.
Other parts included in the sale are a spare centre console, tail lights, park lights, head lights, door ashtrays, seat belts, window trims/rubbers, spare bumper and an Autotechnica car cover.
This Monaro GTS Coupe is incredibly well presented inside and out, and is an ideal hop in and enjoy Australian Muscle Car with current ACT registration until the 4/06/2023.
