The Holden VL Commodore is an iconic Australian Sedan being the last iteration of the first generation of commodores produced by Holden between 1986 and 1988 and in recent years has dramatically increased in value due to its popularity among Australian car enthusiast and collectors. It is a popular platform for modifications with factory examples available in a 3.0L 6 cylinder, 3.0L Turbo charged and 5L V8. The factory 6 Cylinder cars featured the popular Nissan built RB30DE (non turbo) and RB30DET (turbo) engines.

This extensively modified example has had the engine replaced with a more modern Nissan RB25DET 2.5L Turbo 6 cylinder petrol engine running around 12psi of boost and is backed by a Nissan Skyline 5 speed manual transmission and brass button heavy duty clutch. Other modifications include a Greddy forwards facing plenum, front mount intercooler, 3 inch exhaust, 28 spline VL Turbo diff, series 2 Calais interior including seats, dash cluster and glove box, rear louver and side Venetians, high rise center console, custom made steel wheels and more.

This vehicle is presented in the original paint and body work and has some imperfections consistent with the age of the vehicle including scrapes, dents and fading and small amounts of rust around the window sills. The car does run and drive well however the battery is not holding charge.
