HSV was a joint venture between Tom Walkinshaw and Holden and was introduced in 1987 as the performance vehicle sector of Holden, after controversies around the HDT Director and Energy Polarizer from Peter Brock's HDT vehicle sector. Special HSV models were harder to come by in these earlier models compared to the later generations, with the VY Series only running for two short years.

This 2011 E3 Senator Signature is build number #287 and was built on the 25/10/2011. From the factory the car was finished in a clean and desirable pairing of Alto Grey with a two tone cream and black interior and automatic gearbox. This example was stripped down to rebuild the engine, due to an issue that had occured in the top end of the engine. The car remains stripped with a significant amount of parts sitting in the boot. The E3 reflects 222,718ks travelled since new with full logbook history and one key.
