The Mercedes Benz S-Class has always been associated with the higher end of luxury, no matter where you are in the world. Generation after generation the S-Class continues to be one of the leaders in car technology. Launched in 1965 the W108 and W109 were produced in Germany for 7 years until 1972. The W108 280SE came factory with loads of features ahead of its time such as power steering, power windows, power sunroof, central locking, air conditioning, injected 3.5L V8 and much more
This Australian delivered
1971 Mercedes Benz 280SE has been sitting on a property in inland west NSW for some time and is ready for restoration. The car has suffered from some rust, a lot of it being surface rust although bubbling and holes are showing in lower areas or where water would sit. The car appears complete inside out, and the interior despite being dry and worn has help up surprisingly well. Period Bosch foglights are fitted with the rest of the car appearing very original. The motor does turn over but doesn't fire, so the car has not been tested further.
