Bringing back the nostalgia of the 70s and 80s, the Ford LTD was a land yacht luxury car that told the world that you had arrived!
It is believed that just 400 limited edition ‘Town Car’ variants of the LTD were built by Ford Australia, making this Aussie-built V8 even more rare.  The LTD was Ford’s flagship and was introduced in September 1976 intended as a rival to some of the prestigious brands from Britain and Europe.  Unashamedly, its big styling was clean and crisp, similar to its American cousins.  The wheelbase was 3074mm, the longest of any modern passenger car in Australia.  The engine continued to be the well proven 5.8 litre (351ci) Cleveland V8.  Transmission was the T-bar operated three-speed Cruisomatic with four-wheel disc brakes.

Finished in “Snow White” with dazzling 14” chrome wire wheels and brand new white wall tyres, it definitely steals the show wherever it goes.  The dash pad is in good condition with no cracks, and it even has the original Ford AM radio and Ford Cassette Player.  With 247,000 kms on the odometer, it’s relatively low for a vehicle this age.

Aussie-built V8s are no longer being produced and are fast-becoming true collector pieces, with the 5.8L V8 models being more sought-after.  Enjoy driving it today, or lock it away for safe keeping.  It can be registered on historic (car club) rego or full rego.
