At a time when the Golf MK1 was receiving instant success, the Scirocco came onto the scene as its cool and sporty alternative. Sharing its name with the African desert winds, it was the car that could bring excitement on a racing circuit, then be driven home at a more reasonable speed. Designed by the man who brought us the Golf, its iconic design and new technical concept grabbed the attention of fans, driving it to cult status throughout Europe. Fast forward to later years and this popular platform would finally be introduced to the Australian market however after only a few short years, Volkswagen decided to pull the car from the Australian market. To mark the end of their run in Australia, in November 2016 Volkswagen decided to release the Wolfsburg Edition, a limited run of only 150 cars that featured a unique trim with sporty bucket seats, a limited edition numbered plaque premium multi-function colour display, Wolfsburg edition badges and the choice of Oryx white pearl or Rising blue metallic paintwork complimented by Black 19 inch alloy and black wing mirror housings.
This particular Volkswagen Scirocco is build number 94 of 150 and was Finished in the magnificent Onyx White Pearl paintwork. Featuring the popular 2.0L TFSI petrol turbo engine backed by a 6 speed DSG direct shift automatic gearbox. This well kept vehicle has only traveled 66,655ks since new and comes with current ACT registration until the 22/06/2023 ready to be be enjoyed.
