The Daimler Limousine or DS420 was produced for 24 years between 1968 and 1992 and during this time would see only 4,141 units produced. With both Jaguar & Daimler owned by BMC at the time, the DS420 was mostly engineered by Jaguar, sharing many components including a Jaguar XK inline six, Jaguar gearbox and suspension, Jaguar headlights and many styling hues. The DS420 is a recognisable limousine throughout Europe with examples often used as State Vehicles and is currently still being used by Royal families in countries such as the UK, Denmark, Sweden and more.
This very well kept example was imported from Japan in 2009 and includes a photocopy of the Import Approval, as well as a letter from Jaguar noting the required side intrusion bars are fitted for Australian standards. The car was purchased in 2014 from Tasmania, by a prominent local Canberra businessman where it has been kept as a display piece and has traveled just over 500 miles throughout this period. Additionally a photocopied workshop manual and spare parts manual are also included with the vehicle.
This is a rare and very well kept example that would be ideal for weddings, special events or a prestige addition to your collection.
