The BMW 5 series is still produced today and has been since 1972. The 5 series is BMW's second-best selling model and has always been created as an executive car that has rivalled the Mercedes E-Class and other luxury mid-sized sedans. Offered with numerous power-plants and trim levels the 5 series has been a favourite for many whether for the luxury seen in the top spec models or the performance seen in the M5's. The E34 is the third of seven generations for the 5 series and would be produced between 1987 and 1996.
