You couldn't have grown up in Australia throughout the 70's and 80's without owning a panelvan or knowing someone with one. An icon within its own right in Australia the panelvan was a favorite for many due to the space and lifestyle it created. Now becoming forever more difficult to find and popularity increasing yet again, this could finally be your opportunity to get into one.This HQ Windowless Panelvan is something truly special and without a doubt one of the most ideal finds of a HQ Panelvan to be offered. The panelvan was sold brand new on the 21/5/1974 to Richard Fisher who retained the car until only the last few years where the second owner took it on. The car was finished from new in Autumn Gold and factory fitted with a 308 V8 and 4 speed floor shift manual with additional factory options of a LSD, instrument cluster and bucket seats. The car still retains the original documentation since new including service books and original sales receipt showing the $3765.98 original cost of the car. Documentation included in the sale also shows that Richard still owned the vehicle in 2012 when the gearbox was rebuilt.
The car appears to be completely in original form including paint and panel and interior. Although showing its age in these areas there is no signs of rust and this is a running and driving example. Factory V8 Holden's have absolutely skyrocketed in recent years especially with the classics, and finding one in original surviving condition like this, and in a rare spec windowless panelvan is certainly an incredibly rare offering. This is not to be missed.
