1971 Mazda 1600 Capella Coupe In Original Condition!

A rare find, this desirable Mazda 1600 Capella Coupe is presented in very original condition inside and out. The first generation Capella was produced between 1970 - 1978 with several trim levels and matching powerplants on offer. The 1600 was the mid range model and was fitted with a 1.6-litre SNA inline 4-cylinder which produced 74kw and was backed by a 4-speed manual.
This car was originally sold new by Vaneed Motors in Cheltenham VIC on the 09/06/1971 where it remained in Victoria until the 2000's. The car eventually ended up in storage in NSW where it was put back on the road with historic registration in 2021. The car is presented in completely original condition including all bumps and bruises giving buyers the opportunity to view a very honest example. Only modification noted is a battery relocation to the boot and a cut of switch for the battery in the glovebox. The car still carries original books with partial service history, full set of keys, original hubcaps, original steering wheel and radio, making for an opportune and collectors example. This is certainly a great find and a rare opportunity to step into a rare and original example of a Capella Coupe.
