As the story is told the Porsche Boxster is the car that saved Porsche from acquisition. It was the more affordable model in the range that shared components with other models making the entire process, cheaper, effective, and therefore a more obtainable Porsche for some. In 2002 Porsche gave the Boxter a subtle and modern restyle inside and out. The bumpers were changed/restyled slightly, and the indicators were changed from orange to clear. The interior received electric switches to release both the front and rear hood and a glovebox (finally) was added, as well as some other minor updates. 

The performance model of the mid-engine Porsche Boxster, the Boxster S, boasts some notable features over the base model. A larger and more powerful 185kW 3.2L flat six over the 2.7L entry level,  dual exhaust system, central nose intake feeding the extra radiator, red painted brake calipers and bigger rotors, larger alloy wheels, soft top headliner, alarm system and exclusive leather steering wheel.

This 3.2L Porsche Boxster S has travelled only 147,739ks since new and retains both remote keys with good partial service history. Features include metallic paint, 19" Turbo style alloy wheels, ventilated brakes, powered convertible soft top roof, rear spoiler, leather sports seats and interior with heated seats, power windows and mirrors, leather steering wheel, Pioneer Bluetooth head unit, climate control, Harmann Sound Package and more.
