The first-generation Celicas wore a slant nose were known as the TA22. These models were produced from 1970 to 1975 and came equipped with either the 2T, 2T-G 1.6 litre, or 18R 2.0 litre engine. Throughout its life span the Celica was powered by various four-cylinder engines. The most significant change occurred in August 1985, when the car's drive layout moved from rear-wheel drive to front-wheel drive.
This complete example of a 1973 TA22 Celica LT is ready for restoration. This example has sat on a property in inland west NSW for some time and unfortunately has
suffered from weathering and some rust as a result. The engine does turn over, however no attempts have
been made to start the car due to how long it has sat. The TA22 appears
complete overall however both the interior and exterior are damaged with visible rust holes throughout the lower areas.
This presents as a very rare opportunity to secure yourself a rare and
desirable Australian delivered TA22 Celica LT coupe.
