The Torana was produced between 1967 and 1980 as the mid size sedan option into the Holden range. Only three generations would be produced, with numerous updates and facelifts throughout these generations. Holden had been developing a V8 option for the Torana for some time prior to the release in 1974 for the LH Torana SL/R 5000. However, this additional V8 power and weight came at a loss for the brakes and handling, not deterring Aussie buyers in any way from picking up these race car inspired and eye catching street machines. 

For buyers today a factory V8 Torana is still very much a sought after proposition, making this L32 optioned, factory manual V8 LH Torana S factory finished in Jamaican Lime a rare and highly desirable find. Sitting on a property inland west NSW since approximately 2002, this Torana has recently been saved, and is now ready to be restored. The Torana has been wired to kick over on a switch, and it does start and briefly run, with the fuel being fed from a bottle in the engine bay to avoid bad fuel from the tank. It appears complete inside and out, and at some stage early in life was dressed like an SL/R 5000. The car has suffered from rust, primarily in lower areas, with holes in the door sills on both sides. Second hand tyres have recently been fitted to the Hotwire mag wheels to get the Torana rolling, and overall the Torana is in decent condition. The Torana will require restoration, but is a unique and desirable specification that will make a fantastic project back to original or a SL/R replica.
