The SLK was produced between 1996 - 2020 across three generations before being replaced by the SLC. The third generation (R172) was introduced in 2011 still following some styling cues from the first and second gen SLK's. The SLK350 was the 3.5-litre V6 variant which produced 225kw of power and would see a 0-100 time of 5.6 seconds. SLK stands for Sportlich Leicht Kurz which translates to Sporty Lighweight Short.

This particular R172 SLK is without a doubt and eye catching and perhaps one of the best examples of an SLK350 on offer in Australia. The car has been impeccably well maintained including full books with service history and additional interim services, corresponding receipts for the services, and all additional dealer catalogues and has traveled only a mere 83,000ks since new. The paint and exterior appears to be original and again heavily maintained with a few very minor marks as expected with age. Interior follows suit with the rest of the car and again presents extremely well for its age with no signs of wear and tear and only some very minor marks. The tyres have been updated to Pirelli P-Zeros, a fitting choice for the SLK350. Both the 3.5-litre V6 and 7-speed automatic transmission perform beautifully and features paddle shift off the back of the steering wheel. The convertible roof is completely automated without a need for manual locks or releases and is easily run off a button in the center console. Even with the roof folded down there is still boot space for small suitcases/bags and items for those weekends away.
