Incredibly rare and desirable KHGC110 Coupe, ready for restoration!

Sold as the Nissan Skyline in Japan and Datsun to export markets, the C110 was a huge success with over 670,000 sold around the world across the model range. The round tailights were re-introduced after being dropped after the Skyline Prince, with these tailights now a traditional and well recognised style carried through with the Skyline name. Australia would receive the Skyline under the Datsun name, with the higher output 240k badge as the offering. This was no cheap option, priced the same as the Falcon GT and the new BMW 5-Series, however still saw success due to the combination of performance and luxury. The KPGC110 as the coupe variant would also have a GT-R produced, being the last GT-R until the R32 in 1989 due to poor sales from the oil crisis. Only 197 KPGC110 GT-Rs would ever be produced, making these particularly rare coupes a desirable find for replica builds.

This rare coupe example has sat on a property since in west NSW for some time and was fitted with the factory 2.4-litre L24 inline six-cylinder as seen in the 240Z and Skyline GT's with a manual gearbox. The engine does turn over, but does not start and therefore has not been tested further. The 240k appears complete overall, with the interior complete but weathered as well, with visible rust in the lower areas ad around the windows which will require work. This presents as a very rare opportunity to secure yourself a rare and desirable Australian delivered KHGC110 240k coupe!
