The third generation Monaro was launched by Holden in 2001 after a 25 year hiatus due to public pressure after the release of the 1998 VT Coupe concept. The Monaro would cease being produced in 2006 and would be the unfortunate end. Based off the VX Commodore the Series 1 Monaro was offered as a CV6 with the 3.8-litre Supercharged V6 or the CV8 with the famous 5.7-litre LS1 powerplant. The CV8 was an instant success and outsold the CV6 so greatly that the CV6 was dropped. The CV8-R was introduced in July 2003 as a special run of 350 cars all finished in Turbine Mica grey with smoked front and rear lights, machined face 18" wheels, white dial instrument cluster, and special leather trimming throughout.

This CV8-R Monaro is an impressively well presented example throughout with little signs to signify the vehicles age. The car runs and drives well and has traveled 159,350ks since new with good partial service history, both remote keys and current ACT registration until 05/12/2023. This CV8-R features Xenon headlights, foglights, 18" alloy wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport tyres, cream leather interior, power front seats with memory, multi function steering wheel, power windows, cruise control, six stacker CD player, limited slip differential, rear parking sensors, and much more.
