This 1979 Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow II is an Australian-delivered with compliance plate, not a personal import, British classic presenting in clean and original condition. It is powered by a 6.75-litre naturally-aspirated V8 engine with automatic transmission. It is showing just 173,384 kms on the odometer, which is quite low for the age of the vehicle.
The Silver Shadow is most notable for its unitary body and chassis construction that brought vast improvements in packaging and luxuriousness. But the Silver Shadow II received appointments including alloy and rubber bumpers, new rack and pinion steering with enhanced handling, and a thoroughly revised interior. It achieves a high level of ride quality due to the a mix between a conventional hydraulic self-leveling suspension system as well as a proprietary hydro-pneumatic suspension.
Finished in the stately combination of gold paintwork and cream leather interior, this Silver Shadow II is in original condition with no obvious modification. The car rides on a set of Rolls-Royce wheels in chrome with body-coloured accent paint. These wheels are wrapped in Bridgestone tyres.
This Australian-delivered Rolls was built in early 1979. It was purchased by the previous owner as a wedding car for his daughter, and has been garaged and fastidiously maintained for much of its life. It starts, runs and drives smoothly. Its last documented service occurred in 1986 at 70,000km, though interim maintenance has occurred including a recent complete brake overhaul.
It comes with the original owner’s manual, service history, original purchase delivery docket, some maintenance receipts, other original documents and booklets, original car jack, Rolls-Royce wooden toolbox, wedding ribbon…. oh, and of course, a chauffeur's cap!

Interior
The original cream leather upholstery is in nice condition and the seats themselves hold good original shape, with some very minor wear on the driver’s seat typical with age. The headlining and chrome detailing looks in fine order. Some woodgrain trim pieces show the clear veneer lacquer flaking off. The rest of the interior presents very well with nice chrome appointments
Exterior
The body and paint presents very well for its age. The gold paintwork shines nicely in the sun. The exterior chrome trim looks in good order with nice glass all around, while the expansive grille and Spirit of Ecstasy displays well
