This 1983 Ford F150 XLT Lariat Extra Cab ute is a true icon of American automotive history!
The XLT Lariat was top of the range in the "F" Series utes in that era, featuring an extended cab that allows for extra seating. Being a 5-seater vehicle (all with seat belts) and having the front two captain seats with armrests and centre console, it affords itself as a young family 5 seater whilst also a work vehicle with plenty of space.
Under the bonnet is the powerful Cleveland V8 motor - a true workhorse. Coupled with its automatic transmission, alloy bull bar, rear chrome step bumper bar, heavy-duty tow bar, and alloy wheels, this ute is built to last. The exterior is finished in a two-tone metallic navy blue and silver paint, complete with striking blue interior and fresh-looking carpets. This XLT version of the Lariat is depicted with its stainless body moulding strips, wheel arch moulds, and internal highlights.
Whilst it's an appealing vehicle, this ute does bear some minor roof dents, some paint imperfections and cracks in the dash pad due to age and normal usage over the years. This vehicle still presents well and certainly looks the part.
It was last registered in NSW approximately 8 - 10 years ago with registration “BM81VJ” (NSW) and has been kept in dry storage since. It starts and drives and has a smooth sounding V8 motor. However, the carby could do with a tune-up. Due to its registration status, the vehicle has not been road-tested.
These "F" Series Fords, and particularly the Lariats of this era, are highly sought after by collectors and enthusiasts alike.
This vehicle was an American import, hence no compliance plate, and is issued with a police VIN.
