The Datsun 120Y is a car familiar to almost any Australian who grew up learning to drive in the 80s. The bulletproof 1.2L motor and 5 speed manual transmission has withstood the test of time although well kept original examples are getting harder and harder to find.This rare original Canberra car has had one owner for its entire life and for a car that is almost 47 years old this car presents in surprisingly decent original condition and appears to have been garaged for its entire life. The engine and drive-line are as healthy as ever and the car starts and runs on a dime. The interior is in good original condition with the exception of one crack in the dash and a torn gear selector boot and while there is little to no rust on the outside anywhere the body does require some love with a few recent dings on the front right guard and passenger door.The car has mostly original paint except for the front guards which appear to have been resprayed.
This vehicle comes with 4 keys and a security fob for the immobilizer as well as a partial service history, the original sales receipt and 12 months full ACT registration. This car would be perfect for someone looking for a mild restoration or with a little love would be the perfect weekend cruiser.
